How to save public Instagram posts
Kimchily helps you save media from public Instagram post URLs when the post is available on the open web. Use it for your own posts, client-approved archives, research notes, or other lawful personal backups.
1. Copy the public post URL
Open the Instagram post in a browser or app, use the share controls, and copy the post link. Supported URLs usually include /p/ for posts or /reel/ for reels.
2. Paste the URL into Kimchily
Paste the copied URL into the Kimchily input on the homepage. The service checks the public page and prepares available images or videos for download.
3. Save the files locally
Download individual media files or use the generated zip when multiple files are available. Keep ownership, permission, and license details with your saved media when they matter.
What works best
- Public posts from accounts that are visible without login.
- Posts you created, manage, or have permission to save.
- Photos, videos, and carousel media that Instagram exposes publicly.
